| Show NEVADA at the present time james dahl has twelve men employed on his placer ground at copper canyon and is producing and making regular shipments of placer gold the big six mill at lynn eureka county has been started up and reports from this new mining camp are to the effect that a large force will be put on and the mill operated to full capacity night and day the mine has sufficient ore blocked out it is said to keep the mill going for an indefinite period and will be one of the big producing gold mines of the state according to the virginia chronicle the old florida mine located southerly of american flat near the road to carson city is being reopened and work well started in the surface tunnel this is one of the old properties of this section much work being done in early days including a deep shaft and much lateral work which produced considerable rich ore the property has been idle for upwards of forty years and it is said to be under option to a recently organized company L andrus and herve estes eates sr have returned to battle mountain from the eastern part of elko county where they have been for some time past engaged in hauling ore to beowawe for shipment to utah smelters shelters sm elters one fifty ton car was from the kelly stratton lease on the utah mine at tenabo and another car of the same tonnage from the clark devoe lease on the same property another fifty ton shipment was made from the armstrong scott lease on the property at mill canyon north of cortez the last shipment is from a new discovery made last summer r by mr armstrong and who by discover discovering ng the ledge was granted a lease on the new find which is turning out well |
