Show NEW QUINCY REPORT stockholders of the new quincy mining company operating in the park city utah district are in receipt of a detailed report of the year 1918 which includes the financial statement of the secretary arthur L T thomas homas and the report of the superintendent W B cole the receipts totaled 21 and the disbursements leaving cash on hand december the financial report is as follows receipts the receipts for the year were cash on hand january 1 1918 from assessments asses ments and miscellaneous sources w from ora ore sales from stock sales total disbursements the disbursements luring during the year were mine supplies mine labor interest miscellaneous expense ore hauling liability insurance under state law 41 1290 1 national and state taxes civil engineering bills payable refund excess payment of assessments 03 0 7 5 total cash on hand dec 31 1918 on december 31 1917 as shown by the last report the company owed on promissory notes with accrued interest amounting to during the year 1918 the amount of the notes was reduced 10 1 leaving a balance due on the note indebtedness debt edness of on which there is now due interest shares issued shares in treasury total good mine conditions the report tells of the working easement the company has with daly west of a careful examination of the property last summer and the resumption of work at the western end of the daly west which is about feet from that portion of the new quincy ground embraced in the plumed knight and oldham claims in making this recommendation the committee was influenced by the fact that large quantities of paying ore had been extracted by the judge company in the territory between and feet north from the proposed starting point and within a few feet of the north line of our plumed knight claim it was known also that the well defined jones bonanza fissure passed through the oldham and plumed knight claims it was known also that in the jones bonanza working shaft which is within a few feet of the north line of the oldham claim high grade ore was found within a few hundred feet of the surface it seemed therefore to the committee that the situation justified a recommendation to com commence menee work at this point to develop the oldham and plumed knight claims and its ais recommendation was approved by the board of directors superintendent cole says that the ore had widened from three inches to fourteen inches on december and is high grade twenty tons of high grade had bad been saved there is more lead in the ore which is of a different character than other ore encountered it appears that we have truck struck and are about to open up a larger ore body than any encountered in this part of the mine he reported on december |
