Show TO 0 WORK UNITED TINTIC elmer duncan who has resumed charge of f the development of the property of tn taj s united tintic gintic mining company in gintic tintic dis act utah has addressed a letter to tile the stockholders ock holders of the company in which lie he says since the beginning of development work on the united tintic gintic property I 1 was superintendent in of tile the operations the major part of the time now I 1 think I 1 know that ground I 1 have been right here in tintic gintic for ten years I 1 have had an opportunity to observe conditions I 1 have probably super intended more work in this immediate part pare of east tintic gintic than any other one man and believe I 1 have studied it more than any one man I 1 have had every opportunity to observe conditions and I 1 think that my deductions ought to be as nearly accurate as any man could make I 1 believe in the no 2 shaft it has been my ambition for a long time to do a certain piece of work there the opportunity has never been afforded me until now the company has just consented to have me do it I 1 have been in the mining game long enough I 1 believe to not get over enthusiastic thusia about anything and I 1 dont believe I 1 am about this I 1 never had the opportunity of doing a piece of work that pleased me better than this it consists of the following development I 1 intend to go to or near the foot level and crosscut cross cut south to get an east ana west break which I 1 encountered higher up when I 1 sank the shaft and which went out of the shaft on account of a slight dip to the south I 1 figure I 1 will have to drive from forty to fifty feet to cut this cross break now there are two of these cross break coming through this no 2 shaft I 1 cut one in the north end of the shaft in addition to this one on the south end they are not parallel and ought to converge within a short distance now this no 2 shaft was sunk between two of the most prominent veins on the property the aspenwall vein to the east and the bullock vein to the west these two cross breaks should form a juncture just about where they encounter the bullock vein now this juncture ought to be a good ore body and where these cross breaks intersect the bullock vein is in my opinion the most promising place in east tintic gintic for a large ore body you are probably aware that the famous ore bodies of tintic gintic have been found at tile the junctures of the north and south veins and east and west cross breaks that I 1 encountered in this shaft I 1 took a specimen which assayed 76 ounces in silver this would certainly indicate that there are values in these two cross breaks I 1 sank feet of the tintic gintic central shaft and did considerable of the work on east crown point in addition to what work I 1 did at the united tintic gintic shafts nos 1 2 and 3 and I 1 believe I 1 know the country now this no 2 united tintic gintic shaft is about 4 feet east of the iron blossom shaft no 2 the united tintic gintic company has made arrangements with the tintic gintic central company which will permit me to drift to the iron blossom sideline side line in case I 1 encounter the ore bodies I 1 anticipate and while the work is being done at the no I 1 united tintic gintic shaft I 1 am going to use my best efforts to prove the ore bodies in the existence of which I 1 have so much faith if there is no ore here I 1 have been miscal cu lating for a good many years |
