Show THE LOST PACKER miner aliner mackay idaho tim guhin who had charge of the ter of the lost packer plant again this summer during its operation came down last tuesday with other workmen employed there and stated that the plant was closed down on saturday last about three hundred tons of matte were produced during the short run and everything about the plant run smoothly throughout the run about thirty tons of ore were left for a starter for the next operation of the plant and coke is also going in now so that a reserve supply will be on hand for early operation another season there is a large quantity of matte at the plant also something thin 0 in the neighborhood of eighty tons and with the number of teams that have loaded out it is quite certain that there will be matte left at the plant this fall this has been one of the most successful runs in the history of the plant and the condition of the mine is such that operations in the near future are assured the property never showed up better both in respect to ore in sight and values of the product the packer company has one of the richest properties in the state A small force of men was retained to work in the mine during the winter |
