University and All Hallows at Walkers yesterday The Th Tb students from the state institution outweighed the collegians by several pounds to t the man with the result that when the final time was called the score stood II I tot tog to I in favor fa of the Varsity boys To say the game was a 8 tine fine exhibition exhibition exhibition tion of football would be b a mistake as barring the bright blight spots caused by in individual dividu l plays it was a triumphal marc of an overwhelming force against a lighter but stubbornly plucky foe toe who knowing they were defeated fought every inch of the gridiron with witha a determination that brought forth loud cries of encouragement from the side lines The only mistake made by I the University was to allow the All AU AllHallows AllHallows Hallows to make the first touchdown ar aD l after the teams developed their full strength it seems impossible that 1 the rne collegians had turned the trick against their strong adversaries adver arle he be was taken oft off offIt It seems that when the lineup was an announced announced announced for publication no intimation was given that Holmes would play as his name did not appear either in the I lineup or list of substitutes and his appearance upon the field in football regalia completely dumfounded the col collegians ians Holmes is an eastern football f player playe of considerable ability and w was as I brought here for the purpose of teach i lug ing football as w well ell as his other duties at kt the university It seemed to be the t I consensus of opinion of the crowd as aswell j played a star game and was the big score but then he was out of his class cigna and should sh uld not have done so Manager Gueymard I finally allowed his hig team to participate rather than disappoint the crowd The Varsity boys put tile the bull ball in play and All Alt Hallows downed it on their line After two bucks and no gain gam Cline kicked the bail ball bailout ballout bailout out of danger and by a brilliant run downed the man that got the ball bell The big line of the University formed and after three trials gave the bell ball to the collegians on downs All AU Hallows Aggressive I The All AH Hallows who went into the theme game me feeling that they were sure aure of f defeat suddenly became very much alive and played the fiercest kind of ball ban On the first play Holmes went through their line and downed his man manIn manIn manin In his tracks tra ks for a loss of five yards Captain Fanning was next given the ball and made the two liest e t plays of the day in quick made the score 6 to 0 O after seven minutes play The All Hallows shot hot their bolt with these two plays and from this time on they could do nothing at all with their heavy heay antagonists After putting the theban ball ban in play the collegians gained but I two yards ds on ort two downs and Cline dine kicked the ball into safer territory and the university began their triumphal I march toward their goal j Never once did they waver and on each down don d n diminished the distance un until until til Neilson was sent ent over oyer for their first touchdown Andrus kicking goal mak around left lert I end for forty yards and was sent spin spinning spinning ning in the air by Cline This young youngster youngster ster held down the score by about thirty points on account acc of his magnificent ma tackling The ends of the All Hallows were very weary and all the work fell fellon fellon fellon on Cline He gave the best exhibition of tackling that has been seen on 00 the gridiron this year barring none Only I one onte did he fail to land his man when every miss mss meant a touchdown Captain Morris Moms the big left tackle for forthe forthe forthe the varsity made the second score for his team going through the line five yards At the end of the first half the ball was WilS on the university yard line and in their possession Dur During During During ing the intermission the crowd was well entertained by the of the Y M MC MC MC C A and High who were loudly proclaiming the relative merits of these two rivals and what they would do to each other if they ever met Andrus Clever Goal Kick During the second half the university made three touchdowns and had All AllHallows AllHallows Hallows completely at their mercy and only the occasional sensational tackling of Cline Clin relieved the monotony After the fifth touchdown Andrus for the varsity kicked a very difficult goal the tho ball being within two feet of the side line In fact Andrus exhibition of ef goal
