Show WOMAN DIES IN HER YEAR Anna W Perkins Whose Fa Father Father Father ther Was Killed in War of 1812 1 81 2 Passes Away Mrs Mr Anna W Perkins one of or the oldest citizens of or Salt Lake died Friday Frida night at her home 73 North Fifth West street of old age She was at the time of her death In her year and had lived in Utah since 1850 She was taken ill III early last May and has been confined to her bed since that time For the last three years she has been blind The funeral will be held this afternoon at from the funeral chapel of or Joseph Wil VII William liam Taylor Talor 21 West Vest Temple street Friends are invited to attend There Is little doubt but that Mrs Per kins was one of the oldest persons In the state of oC Utah She came to this city from roni Tennessee early earl In inthe the year 1800 1850 and settled on the ground where her home now stands Here she lived for years with the exception of a short time when she and her family moved to St George Mrs Perkins together with her husband who has been dead for tor many years and six children came across the plains In an au oxcart She was a per personal personal personal friend of oC Joseph Smith and also of BrIgham Young Mrs Perkins came from one of the old oldest oldest oldest est families in the United States Her father who was a nephew of or General Jo To Joseph Joseph seph Warren was killed In the war of oC 1812 Mrs Perkins is survived by three chil I dren then two daughters and one son The daughters are Miss L D Perkins aged 54 51 of Salt Lake and Mrs Griffin aged 71 years ears of oC Richmond W V A Perkins aged CO 60 years of Moapa Nev is the surviving son She was one of or the few persons in the city who has held in her arms of which there are five lve Vera Robinson Margaret Robinson Ella Robinson Gayle Robinson and Sharp Robinson all children of or her great granddaughter Mrs Irs Robinson of Richmond Utah She has always lived a quiet life Her youngest daughter Miss L D Perkins lived with her mother caring for her hr In her last years when she was no longer able to move about p |
