wear and tear of ot weather ceather To disprove this notion Mr Bonet made some staff figures and set them on top of the Rookery building in Chicago exposed to a winter of rough weather The next spring country has been built only for temporary use Most of the buildings at Sewells Sewalls Point are to be permanent perr anent Accordingly the quantity bf lit staff used will be comparatively small The exposition site is on the shore of Hampton Roads that famous seaway and summer resort region It Itis I is 1 believed that after the exposition there be a demand for the various buildings to be used as hotels club clubhouses houses houe hou c and summer residences this idea in view there is extra induce inducement Inducement ment for the participation of the vari various various van vanous ous states The site of each state building Is deeded to the state occupy ing it ft The state tate Is In erecting a structure of brick or other durable material and at the close of the expo exposition exposition the building and site may be sold by the state just as any other desirable improved real estate is sold Thus each state will be able to recover the cost of its building and in some instances probably make a profit on the Invest Investment investment investment ment Heretofore exposition buildings have been sold to wrecking companies at a mere pittance sometimes less than 5 5 per cent of the actual cost The Jamestown buildings located on splendid splendid splendid did sites overlooking Hampton Roads close to beautiful bathing beaches and swept by ocean breezes no doubt will willbe be bein in demand for permanent use Much staff however will be used in iii inthe the exposition features that are necessarily temporary such as the statuary the arches the bridges and the
