have seen during my pilgrimage about the state for I think much of it would be of interest but it would take too long A few notes on what I have seen during the last few days through the country traversed by the Southern Pacific will however not be amiss The Olinghouse canyon section of the White Horse mining district Washoe county is rapidly looming loomin Into prominence prominence prominence nence as one of the leading ing fn regions Near Wadsworth a sixty stamp mill Is being built and a broad gauge railroad Is being constructed from the mill to the mines The line also con connects connects with the Southern Pacific thus connecting the camp with the world out outside outsIde outside side Rich Antimony Mine Lovelock Lovel ck is also joining in with the onward march and besides the time work that has been taken up at the older mines the new districts of Seven Troughs seventy miles to the northward and the Antelope Springs country northwest of Humboldt are also showing possibilities that are at attracting attracting attracting a great deal of capital and in investigation investigation investigation Several sales of mining prop property property property erty in the Seven Troughs region have recently been made among them that of the Humboldt Queen group by the Lone Mountain Gold Mining company to C L Dignowity and others of Reno The deposits of antimony near Love Lovelock Lovelock Lovelock lock are attracting the attention of min mining mining mm ing men and metal dealers from all directions directions directions One of the greatest deposits known in that locality is that at Bernice Twenty ty years ears ago over tons of the ore was shipped to San Francisco that averaged over 50 per cent antimony The highest possible grade is 74 per cent so the fame of Lovelock antimony spread Last week California parties secured options on six sixteen sixteen sixteen teen claims and they are now preparing to mine and ship the ore as rapidly as possible Winnemucca has a splendid outlook for forthe forthe forthe the future Mining men of all classes are arriving daily and many prospectors are heading for the northward believing the mecca of their hopes lies in that direction Not a day passes without reports of new strikes having been made in some di direction direction direction and especially from the old camps The prospect of a railroad passing through h Winnemucca are most encouraging encouragIng ing lag and the probabilities are that it will willbe willbe willbe be the Western Pacific and that the town will become a most important division
