| Show COUNTY COUST COURT county commissioners meeting oct 2 1916 full board and county clerk W W evans in attendance A communication from state auditor lincoln G kelly was read acknowledging receipt of the tha county auditors report on the assessed valuation and the amount of taxes due thereon for state state school state road and state bounty fund taxes for the year 1916 and calling attention to the decrease in the valuation of range horses and range cattle for the year 1916 as compared with the year 1915 the county auditor was instructed to advise the state auditor that most of the range cattle and horses had been assessed as other horses and cattle A communication from the state road commission was read sta stating ting g that there was available by direct appropriation collected as a motor vehicle tax 1600 provided that 1600 is ampro printed from the general fund to meet the provisions of the law the clerk was instructed to notify the state road commission to credit davis county with said amount until such time as they will be prepared to duplicate same A communication from bishop hyde of kaysville Kays ville was read ask ing for an appropriation to help defray the funeral expenses of william cole an indigent forty dollars was appropriated for said pu purpose mrs sarah H hayes petitioned for a mont monthly lily allowance of five or six dollars per month referred to commissioner hatch for investigation mrs nancy 0 garner made application for an allowance for herself and three minor children ten dollars per month from the mothers fund was appropriated david M fisher made application for a license to operate a barber shop and pool ball taken under advisement adjourned for two weeks |
