Show Hitching Posts. Since the police have commenced in earnest to enforce the ordinance in regard to leaving teams unfastened on the streets, teamsters and country people who come to town to do their shopping are exercised in the matter of finding bitching posts. They complain, com-plain, and jually, that few of the stores have posts in front of them, and that it is not safe for a mau to leave his team where he cannot watch it, as in several such instances recently horses and wagons and buggie3 bavo been stolen. A city ordinance requires persons who own buildings here to set one or m re posts iu the street, twenty-five feet from the front line of their lots; said posts to be "set in a good substantial manner, suitable for i securing horaes or other animals." This law should be enforced with tbe other one, especially in the business struct. |
