Show Salt Lake City, Sept. 1st, 1877. Sodden Death. John Bennion. an old and well-known well-known citizen of North Jordan, died shortly alter 8 o'olock yesterday morning from injuries accidentally received on Friday. Having occasion to go a short distance from home, be leaped en the back of a horse, and in doing bo severely hurt himself internally. in-ternally. Physicians were called in, and at one time during the night it was thought that he would recover; however, towards midnight be began tailing rapidly, and continued to sink until Saturday morning, when he expired. He seemed to understand that his injury was fatal, and frequently fre-quently asserted that he was beyond human aid. Deceased leaves a laree family, many relatives, and thousands of warm friends. He will be buried on Monday in the city cemetery, the funeral services, however, being cou- |
