Tne I'oat thinks the bill will be s law before a week. me Lommerciai Advertiser says: The indecent haste in rushing through a measure of such grave importance to -the country will be looked upon with suspicion. More time is given to an act to provide for the erection of; a penitentiary in the District of Columbia than to a measure which every citizen of the country has a common interest iu. The bill will go to tiie house and will be rushed through as hurriedly and indecently its it was through the senate.
