The docket was exhibited, but when the committee proceeded to make extracts ex-tracts theritlroui, objection was raiscil, . Thfiy then demanded to see the files of the court, which request was also refused, and some exciting talk followed. fol-lowed. The reaolt of the allair was that the committee returned to the district court rooms, aud reported to Judge Scbaefler, whereupon the fol- , lowing order was issued: j It being represeuted to the Third p district court by the committee here-j to fore appointed by the grand jury of that court for tho purpose of exam-1 ining the records of the probate court j ot Salt Lake county, that to complete their examination within a reasonable time it will be necessary for them to have a clerk or clerks to aid them, it is hereby ordered that the said committee com-mittee may appoint such clerk or clerks as they may deem necessary to enable them to make such examination exami-nation with reasonable dispatch; aud the custodians of such records, to wit: luie juJge aud clerk of end probate i court, aro hereby ordered to permit said committee to havo access to the records of such court, including files and papers relating to cases tried or pending in Baid court, at all reason able times, aud to take extracts or copies of the same as they may deem . necessary in the performance of their duties.
