Show WAY IP, IJgurini: Ont the lllnck Hills l'rolitfl iu theliiust. Elmira, N. Y. 27. A gentleman of this city who is connected with a member of the company known as the Black Hills gold mining company com-pany and working a mine called the Hidden Treasure writes very strongly u favor of the Hills. He does not give mere opinions either, but solid facts. Pie Btates that a little ball pulverizer which on the 6th ol March, had worked inonty three days, had worked up 189 tons of ore and cleaned up 200 ounces of gold worth $16.50 per ounce or a total $3,700 or $1,958 per ton. It costs about $12 per ton to mine it and will leave a profit of $758 per ton or for twenty three days work $1,423.72 net gain, over $i;2.25 per day. The company expect to do better than this when their twenty Btamp mills get in operation opera-tion about the first of May. They expect to mine and milt for $10 per ton, leaving a profit of that amount on each ton. The new mill will run twenty tons per day which will give a profit of $200, every twenty four hours, or $20 for each of tho ten members of the company. This is a fine lookout ahead, but there is a better one aa they have a whole mountain of ore, which runs $20 per tou now and grows richer as they get in deeper. |
