Show A FALSE BDMOa. The report of a viul disagreement between Tilden and Hendricks upon the financial platform of the democratic demo-cratic national convention should not he hastily credited upon no better authority than mere newspaper rumors. Indeed there is no evidence - --in the record of either of the democratic' demo-cratic' candidates of any substantial disagreement in their views on this subject, and any difference between them is likely to be one of terms rather than substance, which can be readily adjusted. Mr. Tililen is not likely to contradict the platform in his letter of acceptance, and neither he nor Mr. Hendricks can set up an independent financial platform. Whatever miy be the opinion of either of them in regard to the true constitutional currency of the coun Iry, neither is committed to the foolhardy fool-hardy resumption act of 1873, as Mr. Hayes clearly is by his letter of acceptance. ac-ceptance. The republican party is doubtless feeding itself on false hopes in predicting that the democratic candidates will make conspicuous fools of themselves at the outset of the campaign. P.3.
