The platform is as follows : Strict constitution, home rule, supremacy of the civil over the military power, equality of all citizens, citi-zens, no sumptuary laws, opposition to subsidies, public lands for actual settlers, common schools; regard the installation of Haye3 despite tho majority ma-jority vote for Tilden as a moBt dangerous encroachment on popular rights; the depression of industries iB due to vicioug republican legislation; demands the repeal of the resumption act; denounces the demonetization of silver; demands a law restoring silver to monetary powr; favors the retention reten-tion of the greenbacks and opposes further contraction; congratulates the country upon the pacific policy of local self government, so long advo cated by the democracy and adopted by the administration, and which has produced harmony in the south; the tarifl should be for revenue only government should issue all the cir culating medium, paper or metal, al ways of equal tender and incoulro vertible; condemns the useoffedera troops to interfere with elections ant politics.
