Show American Fork Canon. By tho unanimous vote of the excursionists ex-cursionists who returned from Auinri-cun Auinri-cun Fork on no n Thursday, a vote of thanks is hereby tendered to the officers of both tho Utah Southern and American Fork railroads. A parly of some thirty or forty of tho residents of Salt Lake city went up there ft few days azo with provisions euough to do them for several days, and tents and bed clothing enough to make them comfortable during their stay there; all of whom were taken at very reasonable rates of fare without any additional charges for extra baggage or for daily supplies whilst there; and it is pleasant fur one to he able to say that the officials of these roads seemed to take delight in rendering us all comfortable, and to vie with each other in affording us every desirable acconiniodaiitn; and there they gave us a fine opportunity to see the grand and magnificent bights so prominent in that csiiun, and to enjoy tho sports for which we went. Aud being thrown more directly in contact with Mr. Smaila tho gentlemanly conductor of the American Fork ro.id it affords us pleasure to make special menliuu of his effort to make all feel welcome and at home. T all who wish to spend a fow days or weeks in a rural district amidst some of the finest scenery in the world, on the way to which you will have good accommodations, accommo-dations, and be in the care of gentlemanly gentle-manly and attentive railroad officials, we would say: Take tho Utah Southern railrond lo Americau Fork, and then, tho American Fork railroad to Deer Creek, and you can have what you should desire. By request of the excursionists. August 11th, 1876. Commutes. |
