At 4 p.m. to-day the delegates from the various preciacls of Box Elder county convened at tiie court huuse ; in Brigh.im city, f ir the purpose ol I electing throedelegatoa to the people'.! territorial convention on the 7th of October, to be held, in Salt Lake city, tor the purpose of nominating a can-I can-I didate lor delegate to represent this territory in the forty-fifth congress. Un motion A. Christenscn was called ta the chair, and M. D. Rosepr baum wasappoiuted secretary. Tiie chair, having stated the object of the convention, appointed H. P. Jensen and J. D. Ryes a committee on credentials, who examined the certificates of the delegates aud reported re-ported the reeult. After the convention conven-tion was fully organized, and Bpirited ; and pointed remarks had been made by several of the gentlemen present, a nominating committee, assigned by the chair for that purpose, presented : the names of J. C. Wright, Geo. W. Ward, and O. G. Snow for delegates to the territorial convention, who were unanimously elected, as were aleo H. P. Jensen, T. Harper and Homer Call for alternates. The delegates dele-gates were instructed by the convention conven-tion to vote for the nomination of Hon. Geo. Q. Cannon for delegate to congress at the general convention. Subsequently A. Christeiisen. J. C. Wright, E. Wright, George W. Ward, Thomas Harper, P. C. Jensen, .. Ha-isen and R. Baty were chosen to constitute the people's central committee com-mittee for this county. A.
