Show RAILROAD FARES TO THE CENTENNIAL. . The general ticket-agents of the railroads are progressing in their arrangements ar-rangements for the prospective increase in-crease of travel during the coming summer. All the usual round trie tickets that are issued every year will include opportunities for visiting Philadelphia Phil-adelphia and the Centennial. The reduction wilt be 2o per cent, from all points in the country east of Omaha. The Pacific railroads are not participating partici-pating in this movement, and having the monopoly of travel to and from the Pacific, very little liberality is expected ex-pected in that quarter. If they should join in the arrangement it will greaily in Tease the travel both to and from rth parts of the Pacific coast. The present arrangement is to issue tickets good for thirty days, and extend the time for th.3 sale of round-trip tickets from May 10 to October 31. Passengers Passen-gers will be permitted to stop over at all places on the route except within a certain distance from Philadelphia which properly includea local travel. The difference in fare between New Vork and Philadelphia on round -trip tickets eastward or westward is fixed at one dollar only. For instance, the fare between Cnicago aud Pndadel-phia Pndadel-phia and return wi I be 32, while irom Chicago to New York and return it will beoo. Tho four trunk lines will have a building on the rounds, which will be a model railroad station, sta-tion, to be used as an American lourist ticket office, and to be managed by the compauiej in concert. It is understood un-derstood mat trains will be started between New York and Philadelphia every twenty minutes during ten hours of the day, besides ample night trains wilh sleeping cars. All the railroads nereabeiuls and to the east and west are adding to the number of their cars and locomotives in order to be prepared in time for the rush. The only exception known of here is the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, and the inactivity of that sturdy competitor for travel and freight to aud from the west is a mailer ol surprise to all who have paid any attention to Ihe subject.
