The report of the oflicial investigation into the case of the Dcutschland, says that the wreck was owing to error of reckoning and the captain's disregard of the force and direction of the tide, the batl discipline aboard the steamer and conduct of the officers. The boatmen at Harwich and elsewhere are completely exonerated. Tho report re-port recommends that telegraphic communication be established between be-tween the light ships and the shore. |
