The Galveston News' Fort Clark special says: On Monday last a detachment of Mexican Mexi-can government troop3 crossed the Rio Grande to this Bide, at u poinl twenty miles Irom here, in order to avoid a conflict with a large body el revolutionary troops fast closing on them. On the same night a revolutionary revolu-tionary body crossed tho river and attacked tho government soldiers, killing several and wounding many, and returned to the Mexican aido. The United States military authorities at this post made captives of the Mexicans for violation of lh neutrality law in crossing to the American side wilh arms and having a battle theron. They were brought to this post under a guard of United States troops, forty in number, num-ber, including one colonel, three lieutenant colonels, tire captains. They were released yesterday on parole, par-ole, liecruiiing is going on on this side for revolutionary purposos. |
