Show COURT PROCEEDINGS. Third District Court, Emerson, A. J., Presiding. MARCH TOM THIRTY-FIFTH DAY. Saturday, April 10, 1S75. Court convened at 10 o'clock a.m. Henry Bliss os: Isaac 8. Watter-man; Watter-man; plaintiffs attorney permitted to amend the complaint. In the mattsr of John H. Gerrish, bankrupt; upon the report of the register re-gister a writ of discharge was granted . The people, etc., I'i.Georgo Reynolds; an motion of the U. 8. district attorney attor-ney for Bontence.the eourt pronounced the following: "The judgment of the court is that you be confined at hard labor in the penitentiary in this territory terri-tory for a period of one year from and including this day, and that you forfeit and pay to the territory of Utah a fine of $300." The people, etc., vs. Charles Bune-man, Bune-man, indicted for the seduction of Mary Dick; District Attorney Carey for theprosecution, Robertson and Mc- witnessea were examined, and about 3 o'clock the case was given to the jury. The court took a recess till 8 o'clock p.m., and the jury not being agreed, another recess was taken till 10 o'clock, when they came into court and reported that there was no prospect pros-pect of their finding a verdict, whereupon where-upon they were discharged. James Bowland vs. Georgo M. Gerrish, Ger-rish, et a.; decree ordered on proof of the publication of summons filed. George H. Raught, et at., vs. Edward Ed-ward S. Blackwell; order vacating and dismissing the case set aside; Mc- Curdy and McCutchen entered as plaiutifla' attorneys; motion denied. The peoplo, etc., vs. Nathan Springer, indicted for murder; demurrer de-murrer to the plea in abatement argued ar-gued and submitted. |
