Show Collegiate Institute. At a regularly called meeting of the officers and board of trustees of the First Presbyterian church, Salt Lake city, on Wednesday evening, April 7th, it was moved that a board of twenty-five directors be elected for the Suit Lake city collegiate institute, nine of these to reside in th bounds of Utah Presbytery, four on the Pacific Pa-cific slope, and twelve oast of the Rocky Mountains. Of this board the following residents of Salt Lake were duly elected: General Nathan Kimball, Kim-ball, N. C. Tompkins, M. H. Walker, J. C. Royle, R. N. Baskin, E. N. Humphrey, H. W. Lawrence, and Josiah Welch. , Professor John M. Coyuer, M. D., .was elected principal his wife and daughter assistants. The tuition for primary scholars was fixed at $6 per quarter, for intermediate $3, and the highest grade at $10; all tuition to be paid quarterly in advance. The first session opens on Monday morning, morn-ing, April 12th, in the basement rooms of tho Presbyterian church. |
