Show velcome Home, Information having reached here that Hon. George Q. Cannon, Utah's respected delegate to congress, was on the east bound train due at Ogden last evening, yesterday afternoon a large party went up the road, by special spe-cial train, to meet and welcome him on his return from the national capital. capi-tal. Among the party were the mayor, gentlemen of the city council, prominent citizens and members of the delegate's family. The Union Pacific express was late and did not reach Ogdcn till three hours behind schedule Lime, but the Utah Central train was held till the arrival of the former. At the junction Mr. Cannon was met by the Salt Lake gentlemen and ladies, who warmly welcomed him; and the whoio company came to the city by regular train, arriving at 11.15 p.m. The- delegate returns from the scene of his winter's labors in excellent excel-lent health and spirits. He has faithfully faith-fully and honestly served his constituents, constitu-ents, and may rest assured that those whose votes sent him to the Forty, third congress are satisfied with him and what he has done. |
