Show The Coal Miners' Strike. Wilkesbarre, 14. The miners of the Lohigh and Wi.kesbarre company arc fully determined not to resume work unless their demand for an advance ad-vance of 10 per cent, ia granted. There are 10,000 men of this company com-pany alone idle, and several thousand more private operators who are waiting wait-ing the action of the company and miners. Xo outrage of any kind has beeu committed and there are no fears of any in this section at present, unless there should be an etlort to vote up a rournp'ion, which would be prevented at all hazards. Business is badly prostrated throughout the valley on account uf the long continual strike. |
