Little Mies Cordelia Heath did especially well, as the conductor con-ductor of the exercises on the special programme, and in her recitation of "Bernardo del Carpio," displayed a remarkable amount of ability for eo young u child. This ba3 been the most successful year tbe Academy has ever known, tbe average attendance numbering about 120 pupils. Especially successful suc-cessful has the musical department been, in which upwards of seventy pupils were enrolled, while other studies, such as the languages, drawing, draw-ing, etc. , have also been more generally gen-erally pursued. The Academy now takes a vacation until the 1st of September. |
