Show City Council. Meeting ot the city council, Tuesday Tues-day evening, Mayor Wells presiding : Petition of Charles Sansom and thirty-five others, asking that a water tank be built in South Temple, between be-tween Fourth and Fifth East streets, was referred to tho committeo on fire department, with instructions toselect the site for a water tank in the vicinity vicin-ity of tho place asked for. Petition of James Thompson, asking ask-ing that the license on hack No. 10 be transferred to A. J. Thompson, was granted. Petition of Isaac Evani and thirty- 1 one others, asking that the said Evans be given the privilege of setting Ins boot-black stand in front ot Hale's saloon, East Tt:ple street, was granted under the control of tbo captain cap-tain of tho police. Petition of Susannah Hygham, asking that a certain street iu the northeast corner of the city bo opened, open-ed, was referred to the committee on utrreLs and alleys. The suporvisor of streets was instructed in-structed to nay $10 to Isaac Chapman, Chap-man, lor a lug used by tho supervisor lor bridge stringers. Bill ol Henry tirow for carpenter work at the bath house, amounting to $1,3'J0, was referred, to the committee com-mittee on claims. Council adjourned till next Tuesday evening at G o'clock. |
