Show Miners' Strike-The Strike-The miners at the Wyoming coal mines, EvanBton, struck last Monday night, and had not gone.back to work yesterday, Thero is a difficulty between be-tween the workmen and the owners of the mines, that was occasioned by two of the men being discharged at tho Carbon beds, which are the omn- erty of the railroad company, as also are the Wyoming beds: and because tho company refused to again employ the two men who were dismissed, the union decided to strike and try to force the railroad to terms. It will doubtless end in the miners going back to work, after having lost a few hundreds of dollars by lying idle. A few scores of laborers cannot successfully success-fully " buck" against the Union Pacific, Pa-cific, even though the latter is in the wrong. |
