Show William 0. Jones, late judge of the criminal court, Bt. LouiB, wanta to And out U a grand jury can libel citizoco with impunity. In a recent report of a grand jury he and a number num-ber of citizens were attacked with much severity. Jones publishes a card saying the charges are absolutoly false, and some of the jurors knew them to be false when they presented the report. He baa instructed his attorneys to bring suit against them for malicious libel. Judge Jones saya if ha was guilty of the crimes which tho jury baa insinuated he ought to have been indicted, and if be waa not guilty the fact that th?y were grand jurors gave them no licsnse to slandor him. All of which ought to be, if it is not gosd law. At any rato it is hoped Judge Jones' suit will bs prosecuted, pud a judicial interpretation given of the prerogatives pre-rogatives of grand juries.
