A flor today, to-day, it must be borne in mind, parties will bo liable to pro9eout:oa, under the game law, for killing game. The approach of the limit by law is very timely, as sad havoc has been played among the deer lately; and if the past s'aughter were oontinued lor any length of time, deer would be apt to becomo as rare as angel's visits in this neighborhood. To-day ia the limit, and it is to bo hoped that all will desist from further killing until the time specified by law during which game shnll not be killed lias expired. The Utih Fiah and Game Protective Society, however, will probably pro-bably be afforded an opportunity of showiug tbat it means that every person per-son caught violating the law shall be punished, as there are those who will net attempt to obey it. But as the society has members all over the territory, ter-ritory, will be a pretty Bharp individual in-dividual that can break the law often without receiving punishment. |
