Bring one of the maoy persona who are visiting tbese beautiful ielnnde ind while enjoying it eo thoroughly i aiyeelf, I often think of oiy friends at ome, who, I know, would enjoy it; hence I thought, perhaps, a little description of this famous place would not prove uninteresting to your readers. read-ers. Imagine then, a faultless summer sum-mer morn id with sunlight which might have been shade too warm had it not betn tempered by coo bretaea; an almodt cloud lee Bky, and wnter broken only hy the movement of the current, and you will know how fortunate we were in our selection of a day to visit the ThousanJ Ielauds ol the river t. A short run on the crt aud we were at C)pt' Vincent, where we louod the steamer Maud which had been chartered lor the occasion by the Wateriown Hil school wailing to take us on board We had scarcely left the wharf when we found our-telvea among the inlands I'be trip down was through the British channel, and aa we moved owif;I through the caltn, clear water of the river, with the tjliilnerw only broken the enchanting slrenaia ui one ol atraus' waltzes, we could cloae our pyca and well imagine we had entered fairyland. Sometimes the boat would run so near ihe Bhore that we could aee the mtss and ferns growing tictween the rocks, and at omtra m far out in the channel lhat the snor on either bide sec-tried a mass of at-!; .r..rm nrj ccitl. - Iv.L- rrrn-,.,rl nt ajreen. I wish I could picture for you the grand panorama uf water and rocks and trees which the St. Liw-rence Liw-rence presents, but such beauty must be seen to be appreciated. The set ting sun threw a broad band of gold across the water long belore we reached port, and the tiny waves were bathed in amethyst light, wnieh d slowly away, Hud all too soon du-k sutled around us. The whistle auuud ed and the tired pleasure at-eker crowded ofl the boat and into the1 cars. The run up to Watertowu wan noon made, and so ended our trip to i the Thoudtind ltd n!
