Cary started for Alhany with them. When approaching tue etate line one ot the prisoner asked leave to take ofl his coit. When freed, be drew bia revolver and com menced firing. Four chambers were discharged and Qairn received two balls, one in the hand and one in the abdomen. Tbe prisoners were finally bound, after a desperate strule. AJuinn ia not fatally wounded.
