Show Ther.tre. Another fair-eu-d audience witnessed wit-nessed the second performance of " A Messenger from J;irv;s Section" at the theatre las, evening. So far as tbe appreciation of those present was concerned, it was equal to that evinced on Tuesday night, but not as demonstrative. The hearty laughter that followed the taking points in the play, and tbe very frequent applause, indicated that tbe piece maintained the position gained by it at the first performance. As previously etateJ, the play, by special arraogtment, will be repeated re-peated to-night, and tbe prospects ire that it will draw even better than it has done either Tuesday or last night. Besides Mr. Macaulty some, of the members are first class actors, and particular mention should be I made of tbe little iady who takes the part of "Chip." There are many satirical allusions in tbe piece that took well with tbe audience that assembled both nigbta. |
