Show Bingham Items. . Bingham, July 16, 1878. Editors Herald: Bingham is not so very lively, but a pretty steady business is being carried car-ried on and the outlook is by no meanB disheartening- O. H. Lash-, brook has found it necessary to increase in-crease the capacity of his store, which fact in itself gives evidence of considerable con-siderable business activity. The railroad rail-road line runs quite a number of paster pas-ter gers and freight eaoh way daily, and must be doing a paying business. Toe leaching works of Geo. Jackson are now completed, and a teat has proven that they will bo a success. They are under tbs management of Clarence P. Talbot, and will work on ore from the Gem, Ten Forty and Greeley mines. On Monday they commenced work in earnest, with the determination of leaching about thirty boos of ore daily. The Burning Moscow mine, run by Hay fc Co., is doing well. Large bodies of ore are in sight, which is being steadily worked with good results. The Egan mill is running steadily on ore from the Peabody group. The Last Chance has a number of men at work and preparations are making to Bink the main shaft. On the Constitution L. E. Hold on bas several men employed. Rawden k, Co. are working thb Saratoga mine under lease. The Hampton mill started up on Saturday on good ore from the Hamptoo mine. Jobu Tiernan has been taking good ore out of the Live Pine mine. Eastman Jk Co., are leaching ore from the Almeda mine, and tbat very successfully, and in addition are shipping eome high grade ore. The Ashland is worked vigorously and the shipments from this mine are Btesdy. Wiuans A Co. are leaching ore from the Owyhee and Naomi mines with flattering results. The Frisco mine is steadily shipping high grade ore. Tbe Old Telegraph mine is keeping up its reputation takmg out vaat amounts of ore and steadily shipping bullion. Leaching is an unquestioned sue cess in Bingham, and is the moans of saving much ore wtiioh otherwise would bo valueless, and keeps men employtd who, were it not for leaching, leach-ing, would be idle.
