Show Warning to Bojs. YesU-rdiy three tin ill K-ys wen brought rf!ore the police i'l-tice, charged with iiv-p:iss and pi-M lar ceuv, and were fined $-5 each. Thf j charge against llu'in w.i;, that the- had entered a man's lot and tiker therefrom sonio vegUabV-s, and the trespass having been proved, the justice felt it his duty to make an example of them. This is a sad spectacle and o-ight to prove a warning to all bnys, mischievously mis-chievously inclined to curb themselves and not trespass upon the rights ol their neighbors. The p'ea that they meant no harm, will not be sufficient to shield them from pnmshment if they arc found breaking the law. There has been a good deal of complaint of late of unruly boys throwing stones into lots, breaking windows, takiuc gates off their binges, tearing down signs and committing similar acts of mischief and annoyance. Boys should understand under-stand that such conduct lays them liable to arrest and punishment. Just think of the disgrace and shame of being brought before the police court, tried and, if guilty, fined or imprisoned, or both. Boys, think of these things, and if you would not have your future life tarnished with shame, avoid all such reckless and mischievous conduct. |
