Court convened at 10 o'clock a.m. lu the matter of Taylor A Cutler, bankrupts; the court appointed a receiver as custodian of the goods for the present. Application of J. F. Taskar for a writ of habeas corpus granted, and made returnable on Thursday, 16th. Alexander Tarbet rj. Flagstaff S. M. Co.; plaintiff's application for a i restraining order not granted, and hearing of arguments on application ,for injunction set for Saturday, ISth. ; ! Tho people, etc., rs. Thompson; Davis; convicted for larceny. The j court sentenced the prisoner to five years' imprisonment in thepeniten-1 tiary. The people, etc., vs. John O'Brien, ! Frederick Curtis and Albert Wilson, indicted for burghry. The jury- re-: turned a verdict of guilty against the ! defendants O'Brien and CurtK and a : verdict of not guilty against Wilson. The court 6et the verdict aside and ordered a new trial. The defendants '. were remanded to the custody of the marshal until further order of the court. The people, etc., rs. Douglass McNaughton, ei al., arrested on the charge of riot in taking forcible possession pos-session of the Flagstaff mine; application appli-cation of defendants for a continuance of the preliminary hearing till Friday, Fri-day, 17th, was granted. Lee & Ottenheimer vs. Alexander Tarbet: plaiutitl'a application for an injunction and the appointment of a receiver set for hearing on Thursday 10th. John Tiernan vs. Nicholas Tree-week, Tree-week, et al.; defendants' application to dissolve the injunction argued and submitted. Court adjourned till Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. |
