Show Theatre. "Uncle Dick's Darling," presented 1 1 last night, is a neat and touching j drama, and was well played. Mr. Raymond as "Uncle Dick" and Miss Adams as the "Darling." It-is one of thoao pieces which make people better for seeing it. The "Severe Conjugal Lesson" which Miss Gordon Gor-don afterwards read Mr. Raymond was a severely touching affair; tears coursing down "the cheeks of young, old aud middle-aged, but tears of mirth. TI113 evening, for Miss Gordon's benefit, Gilbert's beautiful and poetic fairy comedy, never played here before, be-fore, of "The Wicked World" will be presented; the cast embracing, besides be-sides Mr. Raymond and Miss Gordon, Miss Walters, Mr. Sawtelle, Miss Adams, Miss Cogswell, Mr. Crosbie and Mr. Thorno. The play has the very best reputation as one of the most successful pieces on tho stage. After it, Miss Gordon will again read Mr. Raymond that "Conjugal Les-, son." Thero should bo a bumper j house. |
