A man named CouneLl, who left Pioche last Tuesday by coach for Salt Lake, got out of the coach about three o'clock yesterday morning, six or seven miles west of Fillmore, to walk, for the purpose of warming himself, and has not been heard of since. Two men were out searching all yesterday, till eleven o'clock at night. They tracked him through the snow many miles. He seems to have taken nearly every point of the compass, and at one time came nearly near-ly into town. They loft his track four miles north of here last night. A number of citizens are going to-day to take up the search where they left oft. It is the general conviction that the cold caused him to become deliri-oii3. deliri-oii3. He is forty or forty-live years old, and has been in the boot and shoe trade at Pioche; had recently sold out and was going east. |
