Show Heard From. A gentleman writing from FoUjui, CalilorniA, to Isherifl Taylor ol Sail Lake county, August 20th, furrrshee some information in rtg.ini to the latter's deputy, S. D. Sirrine, who mystarioualy disappeared from i'.iia city Lat June. The gentleiuau says that about the middle of June, a man calling himself Samuel Duiicn, appeared ap-peared in Folaom, and on the 5th of July he rented a saloon in a hotel. Alter breakfast that m -ruing he stepped out, nnd has not yt-t returned. A lew daya afterwards he was in Sac ramento, and under the name ot Thomaa Jordan, of Folsom, he undertook un-dertook to Bell the saloon, that he had leased. The lawyer who drew up the papers sent the bill to the Folsom gentleman for collection, as Jordan had bilked him. While in Folsom he put up at the American Kxchange hotel, where he left a bundle of legal papers, all of which were from dheriffTaylor's office, ftud also boro deputy Sirrine's name. There is little doubt that the man Samuel Duncan alias Thomas Jonlan, is Sam D. Sirrine, who has "gone to tho bad." . . |
