Show Preaching is is Forto. In Judge McKean's sermon delivered deliv-ered in the M". E. Church on Sunday, he said his only brother was a Methodist Metho-dist clergyman. The people of Utah havereasm to wish that his Honor had followed the example of hU brother and also been a Methodist clergyman. 1 1 might have been rough on the cloth, but it would have been a benefit to the bench. For our own part, wo think Judge McKcan would havo made an excellent excel-lent minister. He certainly has a forte of sniuo kind, and as he tried being a lawyer and never amounted to anythicg in that line, and is the reverse of being a success as a judge, preaching must be what he is good for. It's not too late yet, Judge; in fact, it's never too late to mend. Try preaching and become eminent, as well as good. |
