Ex-State Auditor Mcllrath, of Minnesota, now in this city, publishes a card to the public in reference to the report made yesterday yes-terday hv the committee to investi gate ids accounts with the Sta'e. He claims that the committee acted entirely en-tirely cx parte, holding secret sessions, and giving him no opportunity to cross-examine witnesses or explain his official transactions. Pie adds that it was their duty to report to tiie next Legislature, and not before, and that the present report is for political eflect. He asks a suspension of public pub-lic judgment until' he can have an opportunity to refute the false charges made against him, and says when the proper time comes he. will be prepared pre-pared to verily his accounts, vindicate bis character and show the utter falsity fal-sity of every matt rial statement and I conclusion of the committee. - |
