Show Krom's Concentration. The following Utter; will be found interesting: UsiOKVUXE, Nev., Feb. 3d, 1874. G. Collier Robbins, L-q , Salt Lake'Chy, Utah. ; " Dear Sir: Your favor of the 29th ult., addressed to Mr. Fall, at hand, Mr. Fall is now in 'Frisco, but in an-swsr an-swsr to your enquiries in regard to Krom's concentrators, would say that the workings have thus far given en-lirr: en-lirr: satisfaction. The ores of tlie "Sheba" and "Desoto" mines have been concentrated veiy satisfactorily, the loss in tailings being merely nominal. nom-inal. The system seems to be a decided de-cided humss; at least it is so regarded regard-ed by, we believe, all that have seen its workings. We understand that works have been erected in your city tor this principle, whioh you can doubtless see working. Yours Respectfully, J. C. Fall &, Co. The above refers to the working of the KroiH concentrators at Star Cflfion, Humboldt County, Xevuija; and is in reply to a letter of inquiry by G. Collier Col-lier Robbing, of this city (late of Eureka, Nevada) and the ore of the Sheba and De Soto mines, when worked by stamp mill, water jiggers, &.C., yielded only 25 per cent, of assay value, and as appears above the loss is now "merely nominal." The works referred to as erected in this city are the works now in course of ereutiun in the 10th ward, by the J. R. Nichols' Metallurgical Works Co., whieh are expected to be in working order by April or May next. |
