Show . , More Mony Saved to Utah. I We yesterday were shown through the new fruit canning establishment of Messrs. M. B. Shipp fe Co., in the lllh Ward of this city, and witnessed the whole procedure from the selection selec-tion and preparation pf the fruit, through all the various stages up to the final scaling and packing of the . cans for market. The whole establishment estab-lishment U superintended by Mr. Milford B. Sbipp, one of the firm, aud under whose personal supervision all the different processes are conducted. He has now about twenty-fi vo or thirty hands constantly employed, and thinks he will require more help before the season is over, Mr. Shipp is at present devoting his entire attention at-tention to canning apricots, but proposes also to can peaches, plums, pears, grapes, foose.berries. Deas.coru and tomatoes, The fruit is unsurpassed for excellence excel-lence and the cans are of substantial double tin, made to contain from two pounds to two and a half pounds. The eompany propose to put them in to dealers in as good style and as cheap as they can possibly be imported, im-ported, The fruit of several first-class orchards or-chards has been secured by the company, among- which may be mentioned those of Wilford Woodruff, Wood-ruff, A. H. Raleigh and L. D.Young. The lruit of Utah is known to be as good as any the world can produce, and we feel confident that when put up attrastively and substantially at bed rock prices it cannot fail to uh'o satisfaction.
