Show Shooting at Tlntic. ! (Special to tho Hkrald.) Silver City, Utah, 25. There was a shooting affray at Eureka last evening between Baxter and William' Mclntyro, in which a bystander, John Giblin, was accidentally shot in the right shoulder. Giblin is alive, but the wound is considered dangerous. SECOND DISPATCH. Silver City, 29. i'ue shooting which occurred between William Mclntyre and W. Baxter, at Eureka, Tintic, last Saturday, nearly proved fatal to Mr. J. Giblin, who chanced to be present when the shooting took place, one of the balls taking ellect in his right shoulder. Baxter fired the first shot. Ten or twelve shots were exchanged, neither of the assailant! being hit. Mr. Mclntyre, more desperate des-perate than ever, thrust his revolver against the breast of Mr. Baxter, and undoubtedly would have given the fatal shot, but fortunately the revolver revol-ver had been emptied and Baxter was spared. The cause of this unfortunate unfortun-ate occurrence is unknown to the public. Mr. Giblin is doing well under the care of Dr. Roberts, of Provo, and hoptis aio entertained of his recovery without amputation of the wounded limb. |
