It is one ol the most effectual means of disarming prejudice, of awakening among parents an interest in their schools, of enabling them to sympathize sympa-thize with the teacher in the success of his plans; for they are thus enabled to understand what those plans are upon which he is depending for sue, cess in instructing their children, i and in nourishing their plastic natures. na-tures. There U no interest so dear to a man as that which pertains to the welfare of hia children. If there is no other way of reaching his pride, it is sure to be enkindled when he is conscious that his children display aptDfsa for learning. When parents are made to realize that the teacher ia acting upon enlightened views, aud that he is imparting the most valuable valu-able kind of instruction, they are encouraged, en-couraged, and incited to pursue a liberal lib-eral policy in the maintenance of their schools, and their warm-hearted cooperation is secured. The teacher's task is half accomplished when the hearts that guide the home circles ot his pupils are throbbing for his success. suc-cess.
