A transcript of the records ot the County Court in toe matter of the petition of Alderman Sharp and Councilor Little on the part of the City Council, asking the privilege of bringing a portion of the water of Big Cottonwood Creek to the city, and a remonstrance against the petition pe-tition signed hy 831 residents of Big and South Cotton wojd aud Mill Crtek waids. was read; the county court ordering that the city have the privilege of conveying the surplus water of Big Cottonwood, at any season sea-son of tho year, to the city ip the canal. The committee to whom was referred re-ferred the petition of A. Hardman asking that Ninth South Street be opened, between Third and Fourth West streets, recommended that said street be opened for a distance of twoniv rods.
