Show Agricultural Slurp Practii-j. Wo yesterday snw three sacks-of oats, that is, they had been roccived ; at Z. C. M. L produce department, from Ogden, for oats, and they reminded re-minded us somewhat of soiling; lilty pound boulders as genuine hay, by a judicious covering- up of the aforesaid boulder when loading the wagon. These oats we call them oats, because be-cause they were received as such were a. mere combination or mixture of weals, sunflower stalks, pieces of straw and driedup vegetable matter generally; with some oats scattered in to keep up the appearance. Irreverent Irreve-rent fellows would be apt to consider the farmers up to such practices as uo better than swindlers. Wo think a little jniling, with the requisite tin,e appended, wouldn't bo out of place, if they were the worthy objects of the attentions. |
