W, Mead, general manager oi the Northern North-ern Pacific road, states that it is proposed pro-posed by tho manager to operate, the road as far as Jamestown this winter certainly, as the road is supplied with snow fences to that point. If the winter is not severe, trains will be run to Bismarck, but if tho weather is bad, the trains will be discontinued. ! Jamestown' is about one .hundred miles wet of Fargo. Work on the road is to be begun and prn?ecntc--I with vigor in the spring. General Gisa appointed commissioners to examine ex-amine and report upon the condition of the road, and they start to-day. |
