On Monday afternoon, commenc-Lug commenc-Lug at two.o'ciock,l-there is to.be a novelty in the way of horse racing, it being the second of the kind which ever ociTTCd. in the Territory, of whicrr there is any recoil The race is U be a ten mile heat between the celebrated trotters, Roberts & Kimball's Kim-ball's "General Lnsher"tandLeighy's "Granger," for $1,000 a side. There -was a similar trot a number of years ago between a brown marc belonging to F. Little, Esq., now the property of H. P. Kimball, Esq., and a Cali-j Cali-j fornia. emigrant's horse, Mr. Little's . marc winning. The race on Monday is to be'on Faust's track, and promises to be. one of unusual interest, both horses being somewhat noted for their speed as1 well as endurance. A ten mile continuous trot will be nptto show something of the sort of stutl' a horse is made of. The race was made some time Ago, since which the horses have been subjected to thorough courses of training, and it may be expected that the heat will be accomplished accom-plished in good time. Next Wednesday the running race of the season, and which will cause a targe amount of money to change ownership, is to come off at Faust's track.
