Isaac Simpson, Simp-son, colored, was lying asleep with Lorenzo Dorr, a deck passenger, on the wood rack, and was blown into the river and caught some ilnating wood from the wreck, floated down and got lo shore. Ch.as. Smith, colored, was asleep, blown overboard and drowned. At the time of the ex-. ex-. plosion the engineer was trying the i guages and remarked to the fireman fire-man to hold on with the fire.
